Welcome to The Summerland Surf Shack, one of Chosen's original homes and a guest favorite for its laid-back beach vibe, ocean views, and unbeatable Summerland location. This spacious upper-level retreat is accessed by a short flight of stairs and features an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area designed for gathering after days at the beach. The home offers three comfortable bedrooms, including one king bedroom and two queen bedrooms, along with two full bathrooms. Two full-size sleeper sofas in the living room provide additional sleeping space for larger groups.

Step outside onto the expansive oceanview deck to enjoy your private jacuzzi, BBQ, outdoor dining, and lounge seating—the perfect place to sip morning coffee, watch the sunset, or unwind with family and friends while taking in the coastal breeze. A washer and dryer are also available for your convenience, making longer stays easy and comfortable.

Refunds will not be issued for failure to review the following disclosures prior to booking:

• This home occupies the upper level of a peaceful duplex. A quiet long-term tenant resides in the lower unit, and each residence has its own private entrance.
• The home is accessed via a short flight of exterior stairs (please refer to the listing photos).
• The private driveway is reserved exclusively for your stay and comfortably accommodates two vehicles. Additional street parking is available nearby.
• No air conditioning: The home is equipped with central heating only. Opening the windows and deck doors allows the cool ocean breeze to naturally flow through the home and typically keeps the space comfortable.
• The primary bathroom shower handle uses older plumbing and can be a bit tricky to operate the first time. If you have any trouble, please reach out—we're happy to provide quick instructions.
• The home is equipped with central heating. The original decorative furnace located inside the home is no longer operational and is retained as part of the home's original character.
• This is an older beach home with plenty of coastal charm. Guests should expect some natural wear and tear, minor cosmetic imperfections, and slight settling that reflect the home's age and history.
• A large mature tree at the front of the property provides wonderful shade and privacy but naturally sheds leaves throughout the year despite regular maintenance.

What to expect: These are older, well-loved homes with plenty of character and some natural wear that comes with age and time by the coast. They're comfortable, clean, and cared for — just don't expect the polished, high-end finish of our luxury and wellness homes. Come for the location, the laid-back beach-house feel, and the value.
